At SSBM Geneva, we believe in the importance of mental health and the power of support. Today, on World Mental Health Day, we want to remind our students that you are never alone in your journey, even when life feels challenging.

Living as a student can often be overwhelming, especially when you’re away from family and adjusting to new surroundings. That’s why we encourage you to lean on the resources available to you here at SSBM Geneva. Our staff is always ready to listen and assist. Feel free to drop by our office during working hours, from 9 AM to 5 PM, or reach out to us via email at admissions@ssbm.ch.

Look after your physical health

A few tips for taking care of your mental health:

  • Talk to someone you trust: Whether it’s a friend, a family member, or a mentor, having someone to share your thoughts with can make a big difference.
  • Look after your physical health: Exercise, sleep, and nutrition are key to maintaining a healthy mind and body.
  • Do activities you enjoy: Take time for hobbies or activities that bring you joy and help you relax.
  • Seek professional help if needed: Don’t hesitate to reach out to a mental health professional if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
  • Take two minutes to focus on the world around you: Mindfulness can help center your thoughts and reduce stress.
  • Steer away from harmful substances: Avoid using substances as a coping mechanism, as they often worsen mental health in the long run.

Remember, prioritizing your mental health is just as important as academic success. Together, we can create a supportive community where everyone thrives.
