I am a lawyer with 10 years experience so far. I graduated Law from University of Zagreb, and started working as a trainee in Law firm and then in Municipal State Attorney’s Office. After my Bar exam I continued my path as a lawyer practitioner, in my own Law Firm and then in a Joint Law Firm, where I became a managing partner. Later on, I was selected as a best candidate for an Advisor position at the County Court, Criminal Department, where I was, amongst other, dealing with international legal aid in criminal matters. Shortly after, I was offered a position of a Senior Legal Adviser in the Ministry of Justice of Republic of Croatia, Directorate for EU Affairs, International and Judicial Cooperation, Department for implementation of the EU Aquis communautaire, where I was appointed as a national expert to the European Commission and Council od EU expert groups in the field of Criminal Law. My job also included advising on the implementation of the EU law, various subjects of Criminal Law in the terms of EU and justice cooperation and Human Rights Law (monitoring case Law of the CJEU and ECtHR). Moreover, I graduated from UC Louvain, Belgium, in Advanced Master studies in International Public law, with my master thesis in Human Rights Protection and European Convention on Human Rights. I also spent one year in Strasbourg which I used professionally to study the case law of the European Court of Human Rights, and to improve my French (besides English and French, I can also speak Slovenian; Bosnian, Serbian, Spanish, Italian, and basic German and currently learning Dutch). Area of my expertise is International Law, Human Rights and EU Law. Last but not least, I believe my hard working abilities, accuracy, responsibility towards my work, respecting the deadlines, my negotiating and communication skills, are my particular strength. I am a quick learner, I like working in a team and I adaptable person to every new challenge I may face. I am living in Brussels.
