IBIS 2024 Conference at SSBM Geneva: A Day of Insight and Innovation

The Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM) hosted the much-anticipated IBIS 2024 Conference on November 22, 2024, bringing together academics, industry leaders, and researchers for a day of engaging presentations and thought-provoking discussions. The conference, held under the theme “Navigating Global Challenges: An Interdisciplinary Framework.”, was a resounding success, highlighting cutting-edge research and global challenges in business, cybersecurity, healthcare, AI, and environmental sustainability.

A Warm Welcome

The conference began with welcome speeches from Dr. Anna Provodnikova and Dr. Luka Leško, both of whom set the stage for the event. Dr. Provodnikova, IBIS 2024 Chairman of the Committee, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges. Dr. Leško, President of SSBM Geneva, also shared his vision of how innovation and technology can help drive sustainable development across industries.

The conference featured two inspiring keynote addresses:

• Dr. Jaka Vadnjal, SSBM Geneva Professor, delivered a powerful keynote on Global Challenges: The New Paradigm of Entrepreneurship. Dr. Vadnjak discussed how entrepreneurs can leverage new business models to create innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development and drive positive social impact.
• Dr. Velimir Srica, SSBM Geneva Professor, presented Navigating Global Challenges: A Leadership Perspective. • Dr. Jose Bronet, SSBM Geneva Professor, discussed the meaning of the SSBM journey and its impact, focusing on the outcomes of the program and how it shapes the future of students and alumni as leaders in their fields. His address explored the transformative power of education and innovation in overcoming global challenges.
