The objective of this professional Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Human Resource Management is to equip participants with the skills to make substantial contributions to both the theoretical and practical aspects of human resource management in business, as well as to advance professional practice to the highest level.
This doctoral program combines practical application with research in HR-driven business and organizational solutions, specifically tailored for mid-career executives who have completed an MBA (or an equivalent qualification) and are looking to deepen their expertise in human resource management and its strategic impact on organizational effectiveness.
The program requires students to deliver an original, HR-focused dissertation or thesis at the culmination of their DBA studies, demonstrating their ability to apply HR theories and methods to real-world organizational challenges.
As far as supervision of thesis research is concerned, it is to be noted that the DBA thesis supervisor generally oversees the scientific work being prepared by the student, supervises it, and is committed to ensuring that quality standards of the work are met. The supervisor is a person with the requisite academic qualification and experience in the chosen field of the thesis research. The supervisor possesses expert knowledge in the field in which the student is conducting research.
The supervisor’s task is to guide the DBA student from the commencement of the research through the oral presentation and defense of the completed research work (DBA viva).
The total duration for completing the DBA program is two (2) academic years or less, depending on the student’s motivation to complete and deliver the thesis.
The DBA program is designed for business professionals and top executives, with the objective of providing a practical grounding in premium business and research education and its applications, through a flexible and rigorous research-based curriculum.
The DBA doctorate program includes a thesis research project that focuses on applied research, enabling you to address a real-world problem within your organization. Our distinguished program faculty will support you throughout your DBA journey, providing milestones to help you stay on track and achieve your goals.
