At the Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM Geneva), we believe in bringing real-world insights into the classroom to prepare our students for the complexities of the global business landscape. As part of this commitment, we were honored to welcome Deborah Croft, Co-CEO & Co-Founder of Thriving Talent Solutions, as a guest speaker for the Business Law and Ethics class for BBA 1 students, led by Professor Mary Mayenfisch.
With extensive experience in leadership, talent management, and corporate ethics, Deborah Croft delivered a dynamic and interactive session, shedding light on the critical role of ethics in modern business practices. She shared real-world case studies, exploring how ethical dilemmas emerge in professional settings and how leaders can navigate them with integrity and responsibility.
The session focused on key themes such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), ethical decision-making frameworks, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and the long-term impact of ethical leadership on organizational success. Students actively engaged in discussions, questioning how businesses can balance profitability with ethical responsibilities and what role leaders play in shaping an inclusive and responsible work environment.
Deborah emphasized that in today’s fast-changing business world, leaders who prioritize ethics and inclusivity not only strengthen their organizations but also contribute to a more sustainable and fair global economy. Her insights encouraged students to think critically about the decisions they will face in their future careers and how they can become leaders who inspire trust and accountability.
We extend our sincere thanks to Deborah Croft for her time and expertise and to Professor Mary Mayenfisch for facilitating this engaging learning experience!
Opportunities like these allow our students to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges, preparing them to become ethical and forward-thinking professionals.
