NEWS > Back to Class at Zagreb Instructional Site: Elective Course on Company Valuation!

Yesterday marked an exciting return to the classroom for students at the Zagreb instructional site of SSBM Geneva. The fall semester kicked off with the elective course Company Valuation, a critical subject for students looking to deepen their understanding of finance and corporate strategy.

The course was led by Professor Petar Karlić, a highly esteemed Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuations, accredited by the American Society of Appraisers, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). His extensive expertise in business valuations, along with real-world experience in fraud detection and prevention, provided students with invaluable insights into the complex field of valuing companies.

Throughout the course, students learned key valuation techniques used by professionals to assess the worth of businesses, including discounted cash flow analysis, market multiples, and precedent transactions. These methodologies are essential for anyone involved in investment banking, corporate finance, or strategic consulting.

Professor Karlić also shared practical examples from his years of experience in the industry, offering students a well-rounded understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of company valuation. His in-depth knowledge and engaging teaching style made the subject come to life, sparking thoughtful discussions and an eagerness to apply these concepts in future business endeavors.

With such a strong start, the semester at the Zagreb instructional site promises to be an enriching and intellectually stimulating journey for all students involved. At SSBM Geneva, we are proud to offer courses led by industry leaders like Professor Karlić, who bring real-world expertise to the classroom and prepare our students for the challenges of today’s dynamic business environment.
