The Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM Geneva) always encourages student-driven initiatives that foster learning and community engagement. Thanks to the efforts of Luis Lourenço, President of the Student Council, our students now have the opportunity to learn French in a fun and interactive way!

Luis has taken the initiative to organize and teach a French workshop every Wednesday, tailored for beginners, helping them confidently navigate life in Geneva. This student-led initiative aligns perfectly with SSBM Geneva’s mission of practical and experiential learning beyond the classroom.

What to Expect from the French Workshop

This class is designed for students who are new to French and aims to help them achieve A2 proficiency in just three months. Learning French is not just about language; it’s about enhancing the experience of living in Geneva, connecting with locals, and embracing Swiss culture.

Key Learning Goals:

  • Practical vocabulary & grammar for everyday use
  • Conversational skills to engage with confidence
  • Cultural insights to enrich the Geneva experience

By joining this workshop, students will improve their communication skills, gain a deeper appreciation of Geneva’s rich culture, and feel more at home in their new environment. Whether ordering at a café, asking for directions, or making new friends, these classes will provide essential tools for day-to-day interactions.
